An unissued award document for II Class Cross of the Order of the German Eagle, constructed of white paper stock, the obverse with a black inscription of “IM NAMEN DES DEUTSCHEN VOLKES” (“IN THE NAME OF THE GERMAN PEOPLE”), above a black inscription of “VERLEIHE ICH” (“I BESTOW”), with an unspoiled space for a dedication, above an inscription of “DAS VERDIENSTKREUZ DES ORDENS VOM DEUTSCHEN ADLER ZWEITER-STUFE” (“THE MERIT CROSS OF THE GERMAN EAGLE SECOND CLASS”), with an unspoiled date space inscribed “BERLIN-DEN”, and an attribution of “DER FÜHRER” (“THE GERMAN REICH CHANCELLOR”) with a facsimile signature, as well as an attribution of “DER CHEF DER ORDENSKANZLEI” and “STAATSMINISTER”, with a stamped depiction of a NSDAP-style German national eagle within an oak leaf wreath, measuring 240 mm (w) x 350 mm (h), accompanied by its period original folder, constructed of off-white paper stock, the exterior cover with a gold embossed NSDAP-stye German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 250 mm (w) x 360 m (h), some discolouration is evident to the folder, in overall extremely fine condition.
