Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with an integrated hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat integrated catch, maker marked with LDO code “30” for the Vienna Mint, measuring 36.26 mm (w) x 43.72 mm (h), weighing 25.9 grams, accompanied by its period original award document, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to “SOLDATEN RUDOLF BOGDA”, Jäger-Regiment 89, dated 27 November 1942 for a wound suffered on 17 November, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), loss of silver finish evident to the badge, with minor material fatigue of the award document, in overall near extremely fine condition.
