(Königliche Kronen-Orden, Kreuz III. Klasse mit Etui). Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1867-1918 issue). Constructed of Gold with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a Gold frame and white enameled arms outlined in gilt, the obverse with a central Gold medallion bearing a raised crown, within a ring of blue enamel bearing a gilt inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and arabesques, the reverse with an analogous medallion bearing a raised monogram of King Wilhelm I, within a ring of blue enamel bearing a gilt institution date of “DEN 18. OCTOBER 1861”, the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop and suspension ring connecting to a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 42.52 mm (w) x 46.19 mm (h), weighing 10.8 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior, the exterior lid with a gold embossed monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, the interior with a padded white satin lid liner and a slotted purple velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 82 mm (l) x 24 mm (h), in overall near extremely fine condition.
