Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with shields bearing the coats of arms of Bremen, Hamburg, and Lübeck, topped by an inscription of “GOTT WAR MIT UNS” (“GOD WAS WITH US”), the reverse with an inscription of “DEM VATERLÄNDISCHEN KAMPFE 1813-1814 ZUM ANDENKEN” (“IN THE MEMORY OF THE PATRIOTIC WAR 1813-1814”), above a Cross Pattée, circumscribed by an inscription of “HANSEATISCH LEGION - LÜBECK, BREMEN, HAMBURG”), measuring 35.90 mm in diameter, weighing 14.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
