Bavaria, Kingdom. An 1898 Silver Bavarian Regimental Marksmanship Medal, by Alois Börsch

(Schützenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silver, the obverse with a raised leftward-facing profile of Prince Regent Luitpold, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central monogram, circumscribed by an inscription of “K.B. INFANTERIE-REGIMENT KRONPRINZ” and “I. SCHIESSPREIS 1898” (“I SHOOTING PRIZE 1898”), the obverse maker marked “A. BÖRSCH”, measuring 34.77 mm in diameter, weighing 19.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
