A very well-preserved German Labour Front (DAF) South Ingolstadt District flag, constructed of a heavy red cotton blended twill, each side bearing a DAF insignia in the form of a black machine embroidered cogwheel on a white background, with a central black mobile swastika, the insignia measuring 77.5 mm in diameter, with both the obverse and reverse upper interior corner bearing a brown wool rectangular patch, trimmed with blue tresses, with central white machine-embroidered inscriptions of “INGOLSTADT SÜD”, three edges are trimmed with twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire tresses, the interior edge bears seven silvered metal rings for pole attachment, the flag is unmarked and measures 133.5 cm (w) x 107.5 cm (h), sporadic patches of mothing are evident throughout, in overall better than very fine condition.
