2 Clasps - 1915, 1916. In bronze, engraver marked "S. CANAVARI" on the obverse, measuring 32.5 mm (w) x 38 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, replacement ribbon, near extremely fine.
Footnote: A special badge was instituted by Royal Decree 641 on May 21, 1916 "for war toils", for which only the decoration's ribbon was determined. The medal itself was instituted by Royal Decree No. 1241 on July 29, 1920. It was awarded to soldiers who served for at least one year during the First World War and, until August 2, 1920, on the Albania front. This medal commemorates the accomplishment of the Unification of Italy.
