MÄRZ 1939” (“IN COMMEMORATION OF THE HOMECOMING OF MEMEL 22 MARCH 1939”), within an oak leaf wreath, the edge marked with LDO code “L/13” for Paul Meybauer, Berlin, measuring 32.22 mm in diameter, weighing 12.5 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux red leather exterior, the lid with a gold embossed NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the interior with a padded white satin lid liner and a slotted red velvet medal bed, unmarked, measuring 48 mm (w) x 102 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), the case lid has been detached, in overall near extremely fine condition.
