A pair of medals, including a Prince Regent Luitpold Medal in Bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a raised leftward-facing profile of Prince Regent Luitpold, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central Bavarian coat of arms, flanked by a date of “1905”, topped by an inscription of “IN TREUE FEST” (“IN TRUE FAITH”), unmarked, measuring 32.76 mm (w) x 44.52 mm (h), weighing 22.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition, and; a Luitpold Cross for 40 Years of State and Public Service, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central leftward-facing profile of Prince Regent Luitpold, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR EHREN-VOLLE VIERZIG DIENSTES-JAHRE” (“FOR AN HONOURABLE FORTY YEARS OF SERVICE”), the three, six, and nine o’clock arms with a dates of “12. MÄRZ 1911”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 36.67 mm (w) x 40.92 mm (h), weighing 20.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
