Schaumburg-Lippe, Principality. A 1914 Cross for Loyal Service, c.1914

(Kreuz für Treue Dienste 1914). Instituted 18 November 1914 by Prince Adolph. (1914-1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central monogram of Prince Adolph, the arms bearing an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE 1914” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE 1914”), unmarked, measuring 36.65 mm (w) x 40.84 mm (h), weighing 9.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
