Germany, NSDAP. A Gau Essen 10-Year Badge by Ferdinand Hoffstätter

(Gau Essen Ehrenzeichen). Constructed of gilded aluminum, vertical pinback, the obverse consisting of crossed hammers bearing dates “1925-1935”, overlaid by a sword with a mobile swastika on its hilt, the reverse maker marked “HOFFSTÄTTER, BONN”, measuring 32 mm (w) x 54 mm (h), some loss of gilt finish evident, in overall very fine condition.
