Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Decorations

(Drittes Reich Abzeichen). A pair of decorations, including a War Merit Medal constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR KRIEGS-VERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.24 mm in diameter, weighing 13.7 grams, in better than very fine condition, and; a Reichsnährstand Thuringia Farmers’ Day badge, constructed of magnetic metal, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 40 mm in diameter, some oxidation evident, in overall very fine condition.
