(Eisernes Kreuz 1870 Anstecknadel mit Etui). Constructed of gilded silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a pebbled frame and blackened arms, with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1870”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with an etched inscription of “ST. SEB. SCH. VER. S. KRIEGS-VETERANEN”, measuring 14.80 mm (w) x 14.83 mm (h) with a 48 mm pin, weighing 1.7 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux purple leather exterior, the lid with a gold maker’s mark of “JOS. BRAMS, UHREN, GOLD- & SILBERWAAREN, SOLINGEN-REMSCHEID”, the interior with a red satin line liner and bed, measuring 30 mm (w) x 88 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
