(Frontflugspange für Kampf und Sturzkampfflieger in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a swastika, overlaid by a patinated winged bomb, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with “F. & B.” for Funcke & Brüninghaus, Lüdenscheid, measuring 77.20 mm (w) x 26.26 mm (h), weighing 17.49 grams, some loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
