In cupro-nickel, measuring 37 mm (w) x 40.8 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, very light contact, original ribbon suspended from an ornate hanger with pinback, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Independence Medal was instituted in 1947 by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi, to commemorate the attainment of independence from Great Britain in 1947.
