India, Bahawalpur. An Accession to Pakistan Medal 1947

(Tamgha-e-Itehad Bahawalpur-Pakistan 1947). Instituted in 1947. In cupro-nickel, measuring 37 mm (w) x 40.8 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, spotting, very light contact, original ribbon suspended from an ornate hanger with pinback, the ribbon with sticker residue on its reverse, better than very fine.

Footnote: The Accession to Pakistan Medal was instituted in 1947 by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi, to commemorate the accession of Bahawalpur to the Dominion of Pakistan and the conclusion of the treaty of union on October 3, 1947.
