Cambodia, Kingdom. A Faithful Service Order, III Class Knight (Assarutti), c.1970

(Ordre du Services Fidele, Meday Sevea Phokdei). Instituted in 1966. In bronze gilt, illustrating a kneeling Hanuman, the monkey king, hands crossed and holding a sword, surrounded by a stylized foliage border, measuring 41 mm in diameter, scattered gilt wear, contact marks and sticker residue on the reverse, replacement incorrect ribbon, very fine.

Footnote: The Faithful Service Order was established on June 15, 1966 and awarded to public servants as a reward for honesty and incorruptibility in performance of their duties, in three classes: Commander (Thipden), Officer (Senea) and Knight (Assarutti).
