Germany, Luftwaffe. A Reconnaissance Unit Squadron Clasp, Silver Grade, by C.E. Juncker

(Frontflugspange für Aufklärer in Silber). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, overlaid by a leftward-facing eagle’s head, flanked on each side by nine detailed oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, with a single visible rivet securing the obverse eagle in place, maker marked “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 75.52 mm (w) x 25.38 mm (h), weighing 21.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
