Germany, Third Reich. A Reich Financial Administration Border Protection Arm Shield

(Reichsfinanzverwaltung Zollgrenzschutz Ärmelabzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse with a central raised German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, topped by an inscription of “REICHSFINANZVERWALTUNG ZOLLGRENZSCHUTZ” (“REICH FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION BORDER PROTECTION”), with a raised plaque bearing a stamped number of “18662”, with four sets of dual attachment holes, unmarked, measuring 68 mm (w) x 82 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
