Italy, Kingdom. A Cross of the Italian Expeditionary Corps in Russia

Constructed of silvered zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patté, the obverse with white-painted arms inside of a ribbed frame, the reverse with a central inscription of “C.S.I.R.”, the arms marked with campaign inscriptions of “DNIEPER, DONETZ, BUG, DON, LUGLIO 1941, LUGLIO 1942”, the six o’clock arm with an illegible maker’s mark, measuring 42.64 mm (w) x 47.20 mm (h), weighing 15.1 grams (inclusie of ribbon), in very fine condition.
