Netherlands, NSB. A 1940 National Socialist Movement (NSB) Dutch-German Solidarity Medallion

Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a central mobile swastika overlaid by a NSB-style Wolfsangel rune, circumscribed by an inscription of “LOTSVERBONDENHEID 10-14 MEI 1940” (“FATE INTERTWINED 10-14 MAY 1940”), the reverse with a central inscription of “SAAMGEDREVEN DOOR HET LOT VEREEND IN GEVAAR” (“DRIVEN BY COMMON DANGER”), circumscribed by an inscription of “DIETSCHERS ET DEUTSCHERS, VERBONDEN IN DE TOEKOMST” (“DUTCHMEN AND GERMANS, UNITED BY THE FUTURE”), unmarked, measuring 40 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.
