Germany, Third Reich. An Equestrian Badge, III Class in Bronze, by L. Christian Lauer

(Deutsches Reiterabzeichen, III. Klasse in Bronze). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a stylized buckle with a letter “R”, with a central horse and rider on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, the reverse maker marked “L. CHR. LAUER, NÜRNBERG-BERLIN”, measuring 41.45 mm (w) x 51.84 mm (h), weighing 15.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
