Constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, around a white enameled disc, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel bearing a HJ insignia, flanked by a date of “1939” and topped by an inscription of “KREISSIEGER”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “H. AURICH, DRESDEN” with the firm’s logo, measuring 49.55 mm (w) x 48.55 mm (h), weighing 26.0 grams, some tarnishing and flecking evident to the bronze and enamels, respectively, in overall near extremely fine condition.
