Germany, SA. A Plaque for Services to the National Socialist Equestrian Youth

(SA Deutschen Reiterjugend Plakette). Constructed of blackened magnetic iron, the obverse consisting of a round oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a central horse, on top of a NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with an analogous wreath joined at the bottom by a Sturmabteilung (SA) logo, with a central inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE UM DIE WEHRHAFTE ERTÜCHIGUNG DER DEUTSCHERN REITEJUGEND” (“FOR MERIT IN THE FURTHERING OF GERMAN EQUESTRIAN YOUTH”), above a facsimile of the Führer, measuring 110 mm (w) x 118 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
