(Ordin "Steaua Romaniei"). Instituted in 1877. Type II (1932-1947). In silvered bronze with red, green and blue enamels, gilt cypher of Carol I on the obverse centrepiece, measuring 41 mm (w) x 62.5 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, tiny chip evident in the blue enamels on the arm at 6 o'clock on the obverse, otherwise the enamels are intact, on a 1932-1938 original ribbon with hook and eye, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Star of Romania is Romania's highest civil Order and second highest State decoration after the defunct Order of Michael the Brave. It was originally awarded in six grades: Grand Cross with Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
