A white metal cross paty with blackened magnetic iron cross paty imposed within a white metal hatched border, the obverse centre bears oak leaves and the 6 o’clock arm bears the date “1939”, the obverse is plain and bears a vertical flat pinback with a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 44.02 mm (w) x 44.09 mm (h), weighing 16.6 g, very fine.
