Malaysia, Kingdom. An Order of the Defender of the Realm, Commander c.1960

(Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negara). Instituted on 6 August 1958. A very scarce enameled white eleven-pointed star in silver gilt, embellishing by gilded Star and Crescent Moon symbols in each quadrant, obverse centre bearing an enameled white medallion superposed by a decorated Malaysian Royal Crown, surrounded by the name of the order in original languages, the reverse is plain, measuring 57.82 mm (w) x 61.34 mm (h - inclusive of integral ring), presenting minor cracked white enamel and toned silver, otherwise extremely fine.

Footnote: The Most Esteemed Order of the Defender of the Realm is a federal award presented for meritorious service to the country. The order was instituted on 6 August 1958 and initially had the five highest ranks.
