A circular medal constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing three people in Grecian style robes, the woman on the left clutches a wreath in one hand and a torch raised in the other, the person on the right is helmeted and bears a spear and a leaf, one arm rested on a rectangular plaque with a coat of arms, the centre person has their arm over the right person, an owl by their feet, to the far left is a statue of a woman, under this is the inscription “CVRÂ PVBLICÂ ET SCIENTIA CLARVS” (PUBLIC CONCERN AND EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE), the reverse bears a right facing portrait of Dr. Caietanus Felderand is circumscribed with “DR CAIETANVS FELDER CONSVL CIVITATIS VINDOBONAE” (DR CAIRTANUS FELDER CIVIL VINDOBONA), marked with “A. SCHAFF” for Anton Schaff on the reverse on the portrait near the bottom, measuring 64.23 mm, weighing 95.3 g, very fine.
