(Zivilverdienstmedaille) Instituted 1813. A circular medal constructed of silver, the obverse centre bears the image of a castle turret with merlons, circumscribed by “OLDENBURGS BÜRGER KRONE EIN GOTT EINE WAHRHEIT EIN RECHT” (OLDENBURG'S CITIZENS CROWN A GOD A TRUTH A RIGht), the reverse bears the inscription “DAS VATERLAND DEM SOHNE” (THE FATHERLAND OF THE SON) encompassed by an oak leaf wreath with a ribbon tied at the top, measuring 37.31 mm (w0 x 43.72 mm (h), weighing 27.8 g, with suspension loop on a solid blue ribbon, near mint.
