Constructed of silvered bronze, loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, with a central target overlaid by a mobile swastika, topped by a Stahlhelm, and flanked by a date of “1933”, circumscribed by an inscription of “NATIONALE EHREBUNG WETT SCHIESSEN” (“NATIONAL SHOOTING COMPETITION”), the reverse with a raised village scene, above a Höttingen coat of arms and a date of “1933”, circumscribed by an inscription of “SCHÜTZENVEREIN HÖTTINGEN”, measuring 40.28 mm in diameter, weighing 28.1 grams, in extremely fine condition.
