(Križ Društva Crvenog Križa). Instituted in 1882. Three-piece construction, in silver with red and white enamels, measuring 40 mm (w) x 60.2 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, chipping evident in the red enamels between the "8" and "7" of the date "1876" and crazing present below the "6" on the reverse, otherwise the enamels are intact, on its original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, better than very fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, white dimpled exterior on all sides, Serbian crown in gold-coloured ink on the lid, inside lid in white satin, padded and Cyrillic maker marked, lightly soiled white felt recessed medal bed, soiled on the exterior, case fine.

 

Footnote: The Cross of the Red Cross Society was instituted in 1882, under the Kingdom of Serbia and awarded until 1941, under the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
