Instituted March 10, 1942. Circular metal constructed of bronze gilt, center with an enameled black background featuring eleven stars, surrounded by an enameled green laurel wreath, reverse engraved Exp. No 2130 / DARIO LORAQUE PEREZ / 1934, measuring 37.30 mm diameter, original ribbon with embroidered Falange insignia, suspended from a traditional Spanish horizontal hanger with pinback, light contact, very fine.
Footnote: On March 10, 1942, a decree creating the Old Guard medal militants was published. This medal was established as a sign of distinction for the first members of the nationalist Old Guard. The Medal may be awarded to the relatives of the militants that died in service.
