Austria, Empire. A Bravery Medal, by Kautsch, c.1917 (Tapferkeitsmedaillen). A circular medal constructed of copper washed bronze, the obverse bears the right facing bust portrait of Emperor Charles I, circumscribed with “CAROLVS D.G. IMP. AVST. REX BOH. ETC. ET REX APOST. HVNG.”, the reverse bears the inscription “FORTITVDINI” (BRAVERY) with two crossed flag staffs below, encompassed by a laurel wreath, the obverse bears the maker mark “KAUTSCH”, measuring 31.22 mm (w) x 34.74 (h), with suspension loop on a red and white triangular ribbon with two metal clasps; Austria, Imperial. A Wounded Medal (Verwundetenmedaille) Instituted 17 August 1917. A circular medal constructed of feinzink, the obverse bears the right facing head portrait of Emperor Charles I, the top reads “CAROLVS” and the bottom bears an open laurel branch wreath tied with a ribbon, the reverse bears tje inscription “LAESO MILITI MCMXVIII” (THE WOUNDED SOLDIER), the edge is marked “1918”, with suspension loop on an olive brown ribbon with one central red stripe indicative of one wound, measuring 37.94 mm (w) x 41.55 mm (h); Austria, Empire. A Jubilee Cross for Military Personnel An iron cross paty constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse bears the right facing bust portrait of Kaiser Franz Joseph I with “FRANC.IOS.I” inscribed to the left, the reverse bears the dates “1848” and “1908”, a laurel wreath lays in the quadrants between the arms, measuring 36.24 mm (w) x 41.41 mm (h), with suspension loop on a triangular white ribbon with red stripes; Austria, Republic. A War Commemorative Medal (Kriegserinnerungsmedaille) Instituted 1933. A circular medal constructed of gilded tombac, the obverse bears an eagle with outstretched wings perched on an escutcheon, the bottom reads “FÜR ÖSTERREICH” , the reverse bears the dates “1914-1918” encompassed by an oak leaf wreath, measuring 36.06 mm (w) x 40.57 mm h), with suspension loop on a yellow and blue triangular ribbon with sword clasp, all very fine.
