India. A Police Special Duty Medal with Punjab Clasp

Instituted 1962. Circular medal constructed of cupronickel, the obverse bears the state emblem of India encompassed by a ring with ornate details and an inscription at the bottom, the reverse bears a mountainous landscape with an inscription at the top, measuring 38.15 mm (w) x 51.77 mm (h), suspended by an ornate fixed straight-bar suspender which the clasp is attached, issued with clasp inscribed with “POLICE (SPECIAL DUTY) PUNJAB”, on a white, black, orange and green striped ribbon.
