Germany, Wehrmacht. An Eastern People’s Medal, Silver Grade, I Class with Swords

(Tapferkeits- und Verdienstauszeichnung für Angehörige der Ostvölker, I Klasse in Silber mit Schwertern). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an eight-pointed radiant star, with a central rosette inside of a laurel wreath, with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 49.84 mm (w) x 49.50 mm (h), weighing 25.0 grams, in very fine condition.
