Prussia, Kingdom. An Order of the Red Eagle, Miniature, c.1900

(Roter Adler Orden) Instituted 16 June 1792. A miniature straight-armed cross paty constructed of non-magnetic metal, the obverse centre bears a Brandenburg eagle in multicoloured enamels, the reverse centre bears the crowned cipher “FW”, the cross arms are finely pebbled, with loop for suspension, measuring 16 mm (w) x 18.19 mm (h), very fine.
