Germany, Imperial. An S.M.S. Emden 1914 Medal

A circular medal constructed of silver, the obverse bears an eagle with outstretched wings facing left and perched on a branch, a handful of squiggly lines are at the bottom, the reverse bears the inscription “S.M.S. EMDEN 1914” with a detailed border, the obverse is marked “F.H.” the edge is marked “999” and “C.A”, with loop for suspension, measuring 30.59 mm (w) x 37.32 mm (h), weighing 12.4 g, very fine.
