Germany, RNST. A 1935 Hamburg Reichsnährstand Merit Medal for Butter Production, with Case

(Reichsnährstand Leistungsmedaille). Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse bearing a raised Reichsnährstand insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of “REICHSNÄHRSTAND-AUSSTELLUNG HAMBURG 1935” (“REICHSNÄHRSTAND EXHIBITION HAMBURG 1935”), the reverse with an engraved inscription of “BUTTER”, within a wreath of fruits and vegetables, unmarked, measuring 38 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the exterior lid with a silver embossed Reichsnährstand insignia, the interior with a padded white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed blue felt medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 58 mm (w) x 58 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), some loss of finish evident to the metal, in overall near extremely fine condition.
