Germany, RNST. An Unissued 1936 Frankfurt Reichsnährstand Merit Medal, with Case

(Reichsnährstand Leistungsmedaille). Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse bearing a raised Reichsnährstand (RNST) insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of “3. REICHSNÄHRSTANDS-AUSSTELLUNG FRANKFURT A. M. 1936” (“3RD REICHSNÄHRSTAND EXHIBITION FRANKFURT-AM-MAIN 1936”), the reverse with a raised wreath of fruits and vegetables, surrounding a void accommodating a dedication, circumscribed by a mark of “KONSERVENDOSENVERSCHLIESSMASCHINEN LANICO-MASCHINENBAU OTTO NIEMSCH & CO. BRAUNSCHWEIG”, measuring 60 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the exterior lid with a silver embossed RNST insignia, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed blue velvet medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 80 mm (w) x 80 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), the medal has lost most of its silver finish, in overall better than very fine condition.
