A lot of four National People’s Army (NVA) graduation badges, including a Friedrich Engels Military Academy badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a red enameled triangle within a white enameled border, with a central gilt medallion bearing a raised profile of Friedrich Engels, above a gilt inscription of “NVA”, the reverse with a screw and backplate, maker marked “PRÄWEMA, MARKNEUKIRCHEN”, measuring 32 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), some flecking of enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition; a second Friedrich Engels Military Academy badge, constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a pebbled red-painted triangle within a white-painted border, with a central gilt medallion bearing a profile of Friedrich Engels, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 32 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Wilhelm Pieck Military Political University badge, constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a pebbled red-painted triangle within a white-painted border, with a central gilt medallion bearing a raised profile of Wilhelm Pieck, the reverse with a screw and backplate, unmarked, measuring 32 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a NVA personnel civil university badge, constructed of of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a amber-coloured enameled triangle within a white enameled border, with a central gilt medallion bearing a raised NVA insignia, above a gilt inscription of “NVA”, the reverse with a screw and backplate, maker marked “PRÄWEMA, MARKNEUKIRCHEN”, measuring 32 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), some deterioration of enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
