(Zollgrenzschutz Ehrenzeichen). Instituted 17 February 1939. An iron cross paty constructed of bronze, the obverse centres bears a national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons, encompassed by an open-ended wreath, the arms and background are pebbled with a pearled border and flat border, the reverse bears the inscription “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM ZOLLGRENZSCHUTZ” (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN BORDER PROTECTION), unmarked, measuring 42.11 mm (w) x 46.78 mm (h), with suspension loop on a blue ribbon, very fine.
