Type I with "Usque Ad Aras". In blackened copper, voided, maker marked "WELLINGS MFG. CO. TOTONTO" on the reverse, measuring 41.5 mm (w) x 47.5 mm (h), both lugs intact, light contact evident on the crown and horse, along with two green oxidation spots present on the obverse, near extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Kent County, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Chatham under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed March 28, 1917 under the command of Major N. Smith with a strength of 18 officers and 469 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 4th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
