Prussia, Kingdom. A Pair of Reserve Long Service Decorations

Reserve Long Service Decoration (Landwehr Dienstauszeichnungen) Instituted 16 January 1842. A rectangular bar constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse bears the cipher “F.W. IV.” (Friedrich Wilhelm IV), on a blue enamel background encompassed by a black enamel border, the reverse is plain, with an arabesque suspension with loop, measuring 34.42 mm (w) x 26.63 mm (h); A Reserve Long Service Decoration, Private Manufacture (Landwehr Dienstauszeichnungen) Instituted 16 January 1842. A rectangular bar constructed of ceramic, the obverse bears the cipher “F.W. IV.” (Friedrich Wilhelm IV), painted in gild paint on a blue painted background, the reverse is plain and attached to a button back, measuring 34.09 mm (w) x 12 mm (h), both fine.
