Germany, Weimar Republic. A Freikorps Chiemgau Badge, by Deschler & Sohn

(Freikorps Chiemgau Abzeichen). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an octagonal border, with a central raised eagle’s head flanked by an inscription of “CHIEMGAU”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “DESCHLER U. SOHN, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 30 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
