Germany, Luftwaffe. A Kampfgeschwader Boelcke Commemorative Silver Picture Frame, by Hermann Bauer

(Bilderrahmen in Silber). Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing an engraved inscription of “KAMPFGESCHWADER BOELCKE NO. 154”, above a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika and dates of “1.5.34 - 1.12. 36”, with a glass insert, affixed with four rivets to a card stock backer with a faux blue leather liner, with a fold-out flap bearing a retractable stand, close by four swivel clips, the edge bearing a crown and crescent moon indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “800”, and the hallmark of Hermann Bauer, Schwäbisch Gmünd, measuring 122 mm (w) x 168 mm (h), also including a reproduction photograph of Oswald Boelcke, depicted in uniform and wearing the Pour le Mérite, printed on Agfa-Lupex paper, measuring 94 mm (w) x 130 mm (h), in overall near extremely fine condition.
