An Austrian Honour Decoration of the Red Cross Bronze Medal, an ovular medal constructed of gilded bronze and enamel, the obverse bears a central red enamel cross on a white enamel shield , above the shield is a star with rays and to the left and right are angels holding the shield, below is inscribed “PATRIAE AC HVMANITATI” (COUNTRY AND HUMANITY), encompassed by a green enamel laurel and oak wreath, the reverse is inscribed “1864 1914” encompassed by a laurel and oak wreath, measuring 36.51 mm (w) x 48.45 mm (h), on a white ribbon with red stripes; An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 with Swords, an iron cross paty constructed of bronze, the obverse centre bears the dates “1914 1918” encompassed by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, two upwards facing crossed swords lay in the quadrants between the arms, the reverse is plain and is marked “HKM”, measuring 37.16 mm (w) x 41.86 mm (h), on a red, black and white striped ribbon, both on a metal ribbon bar with a horizontal pinback, measuring 73.76 mm (l), very fine.
