Austria, Imperial. An M1905 Dragoon Officer’s Helmet Miniature

A blackened metal helmet miniature, the front bears a gilded Austrian coat of arms (a crowned double-headed eagle clutching a sceptre in one talon and a globus cruciger in the other), topped with a Roman style comb bearing embossed decoration on both sides of a lion attacking a serpent, on a pebbled background, the peak of the helmet is edged with gilt trim, the interior bears fourteen attachment prongs, measuring 69.48 mm (h) x 64.08 (l) x 52.76 mm (w), missing the laurel leaf chin scales, but otherwise very fine.
