A Medal for Bravery (Tapferkeitsmedaille) Instituted 18 July 1789. A circular medal constructed of bronze, the obverse bears the right facing portrait of Franz Joseph I, circumscribed with “FRANZ JOSEPH I V.G. G. KAISER V. OSETERREICH”, the reverse bears the inscription “DER TAPFERKEIT” encompassed by laurel leaf wreath with two cross flag staffs, marked on the obverse under the portrait with “TAUTENHAYN”, on a red and white triangular ribbon, measuring 31.41 mm (w) x 35.13 mm (h), very fine.

A Medal for Bravery Award Document to Grenadier Aotam Reinheimer on cream coloured paper. The document is numbered “Nr. 16”, dated to 24 May 1917, and signed. Presenting scuffing and creasing around the edges, with discolouration throughout. Measuring 140 mm (w) x 97 mm (h), very fine.
