Germany, HJ. A Marksmanship Badge, by Matthias Oeschler & Sohn

(HJ Schützenabzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a black enameled target, overlaid by crossed rifles with a central enameled HJ insignia, the reverse with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/14” for Matthias Oeschler & Sohn, Ansbach, measuring 21.24 mm in diameter, in some loss of enamel evident to the target underneath the HJ insignia, in overall better than very fine condition.
