Germany, Wehrmacht. A Clasp to the 1939 Iron Cross II Class, Type II, with Case

(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, on top of a trapezoidal plaque bearing a raised date of “1939”, the reverse with all four attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 31.10 mm (w) x 31.22 mm (h), weighing 8.2 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux purple leather exterior liner, the interior lid marked with a LDO logo, measuring 48 mm (w) x 48 mm (l) x 16 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
